Story:
The pandemic locked me down for the last 10 months and wanted to share images I regularly saw while traveling.
They are from different parts of the world, when I travelled during daytime. Some early mornings and others just before sunset, which have different luminosity.
I do not know the names of the clouds but do understand that they are called Cumulous. Some show the peace you feel traveling at high altitude, with the only rumbling of the turbines that I could hear. Others have the details of the terrain painted white by the snow, while still at low altitude.
When taking the images I had to place the lens to the window, avoiding registering any reflections. Sometimes I used a blanket that gave total darkness around the lens eliminating the reflections.
Older airplane windows, if clean or not scratched, were good to take images. With newer airplane models the windows are covered with layers filtering some colors or incorporating colored banding into the pictures.
These color bandings sometimes can be eliminated converting the images into black and white.
All the images were converted into black and white giving the spectator the true feeling I had while watching them.

Artist Profile
Born: 1955
Hometown: La Paz
Based in: Calera de Tango
Photographer dedicated to portraying Water.
It was late 1955 when my eyes peeped at the city of La Paz near the high Andes. Since then, they have learned by capturing sparkles of light.
The influence of Ansel Adams and Vincent Van Gogh work has forged my technique to pursue the chase of Water and capture its beauty, while visiting more than 40 countries. Living in 10 of them and settled at the small town of Calera de Tango in Chile.
My work is done using film in a medium format, as well as digital cameras. Capturing the beauty of water in all its forms; denouncing many times the little interest that our civilized world invests in its conservation and preservation. Printing mainly on large size fine art photographic paper, for Color as well as Black & White; lately using ink based printing and fine art digital paper.
Water, an important resource, source of life, and protagonist of my exhibitions around the world, that converge between the look of the paused movement, preserving it for future generations, as is the case of certain images that I took at a glacier that has disappeared during the last 20 years.
Started oil painting and playing in darkroom at the age of 10, later taking pictures of what my eyes noticed. Took as much photography courses as I could, forging my technique and creating the water portfolio. Still continue learning and using new digital tools.
