Artist Statement
Description:
Images printed on Fujiflex Crystal Archive silver halide photographic paper using a Lambda machine are shipped from NY.
Images printed on 100% cotton Baryta paper using a Canon 12 inks printer machine are shipped from Chile.
Story:
We were driving towards the town of Cochamó, the surrounding mountains are known as the Chilean Yosemite. On the road along the estuary of Reloncaví, I saw small parking area where I could stop to take pictures of the fisheries. It was all fenced and could not have a clear view, however I found an opening on the fence leading to a small trail, which I guess would take me to the estuary shore.
The view was flat and not interesting, when I saw a large lichen growing on a rock. The cloudy light was perfect with no harsh shadow and with the use of a tripod was able extend the depth of field.
