About the art
Artist statement
Horizon Series of Paintings, a collection of paintings inspired by the ocean, the beach, sunsets and sunrises. This particular painting is oil on canvas and is inspired by the beautiful beaches of the Hamptons on the East end of Long Island, New York. Working on my Horizon series of paintings, which focuses on impressions of the ocean, I start by taking photographs of the ocean and then develop those by memory since I’ve been living by the sea for many years. My horizon paintings most times turn into atmospheric landscapes transforming into unique creations.
