Gentle Veils of Grey celebrates the playful interaction of light, dark, rhythm and the allure of flowing paint. The subtle contrast between the darker grey veil and the warm background light evokes a sense of drama and mystery. The repeating patterns vary as they traverse across the horizontal canvas which adds intrigue. The entire piece somehow feels peaceful and calms the mind. The surface of the canvas is textured with silica sand and gesso which adds an aesthetic and sensual tactility. The sides are left painted with marks showing the creative process. The piece is signed on the back and is ready to hang.
