Levity of Light celebrates joy, life and peacefulness. The lightness of the yellow, orange and peach palette resonates and elevates one's state of mind, lifting into a feeling of hope and optimism. The technique uses fluid paint applied in layers, dried partially and then washed away. leaving a natural patina. The warm foreground colors seem to rise up again a blue grey background which creates a mysterious space. The canvas has a delicate texture created with silica sand and gesso. This gives the piece a sensual tactility and materiality. The edges of the work are left painted revealing the creative process.
