Light & Gold emanates a warm delicate ethereal light eliciting feelings of calm joy. The composition breathes with space and mystery. The natural patina effect is created by layering fluid paint, drying areas and then washing off the surface of the canvas. This creates an organic. light-filled effect resembling a natural phenomenon like a sun drenched summer sky. The hidden layers reveal complimentary greens and blues which harmonize the entire composition and add a sense of space. The surface of the canvas is textured with silca sand and gesso giving the piece sensual tactility. The edges are left painted revealing the creative process and the piece is ready for hanging. It is signed on the back.
"My aim is to capture nature's beauty. I do not paint landscapes, sunsets, lakes or mountains; rather I employ nature’s abstract elements of light, colour, space and movement to create a sense of nature. My goal is to make paintings that uplift and energize the viewer while instilling a calm and soothing effect on the mind."
