Educated at the University of Fine Art in Hanoi, Cam has exhibited widely in Vietnam, Singapore, Korea, China, Indonesia, Japan, Germany and the US.
This series of works from 2006, entitled 'Fat Free Museum' were taken with the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art as a backdrop. The works link works displayed at the Met with Cam's cultural references from Vietnam, seeking to highlight a relationship between the two.
The quirky, irreverent title for the works suggests the Met is free of excess, only displaying the healthiest, leanest works of art from each artist's body of work.
