This artwork is a spontaneous style of Chinese Ink Painting.

One of the most beloved flowers in China, the plum blossoms (méi-huā, 梅花) has been frequently depicted in Chinese painting for centuries. Plum blossoms as both a symbol of winter as well as a harbinger of spring. Plum flowers are seen as an example of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity.

In this drawing, we see the clean and graphic lines of the brunches. The delicate shades of the ink in the flower petals are complimented them.

The painting has two red Traditional Chinese seals, one of them means "Happy" the other is a seal with the artist's name.

This painting was hand-painted, using Traditional Chinese tools and materials: Chinese Black Ink and Chinese mineral paints on special rice Xuan paper.
