Artist Statement

This work is about the movement to the mythical pattern of Eden, then an exil and return to a second Eden where we encounter the unself-conscious and our satisfactions are rather intrinsical. İrem's works explore ideas of new and old, from pollination to growth, from cultural isolation to transdisciplinary and ecological exchange, and connections between art and science that have endured from the 19th century to the present.
