Noman's Land - Riders of Lost Paths No 353
40 x 30 cm - Oil on Canvas

These flowers reflects the serenity of ancient poets and their kind of innocence. It is an instrumental experience to speak their old language that motivates us to go forward until we arrive at a new integration at a different point on the spiral of maktub. No Man's Land series thus reflect on our origins and invite us to appreciate the world as it is. Riders of Lost paths keep searching for places. The world is currently facing multiple, complex challenges with impacts on health, welfare and livelihoods to name a few. But as always, at Studio ii, we fiercely believe in the power of hope, and above all, the power of Collective Action.

Painting is sold unframed. Framing is recommended yet not required. Reliable
packaging. Safety and durability of works of art is guaranteed. Certificate of authenticity

Artist Profile

Born: 1968

Hometown: Diyarbakır

Based in: Ankara

Imren Iyem's work is about time and timelessness, freedom and peaceful possibility. Born in Diyarbakir, Imren IYEM is a Turkish native who now lives and creates in Ankara. Graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Education, Department of Painting with a degree. She is a member of the United Painters and Sculptors Association in Turkey.

Her personality and ethnic background plays a part in the process of developing new ideas and finding inspiration to create authentic and uplifting pieces. Her paintings are inspired by many facets of ancient civilizations where she was born. They invite the viewer to discover that nature has such richness and variety in cultural and natural resources. The paintings are recently abstract, sometimes figurative. Although this art movement has lots of female practitioners, this is less so in the country she is living. Her movements interact with the subconscious when she paints a canvas that translates her spiritual and emotional state as if listening to music. She desires to highlight time and timelessness and connect art lovers, especially women in pursuit of natural beauty and transcendent inspiration.

She is deeply involved in every aspect of her craft. Her belief in the importance of observation alongside using quality materials is apparent to all her works. Her skill, talent, and her ability to bring abstract art like music to life has made her paintings sought after which can be found in numerous private collections and respectable art galleries around Turkey. Investing in her work will bring a lifetime of pleasure to the most discriminating buyers of fine art and considering the talent of the artist, will only accrue in value as time passes by.
