Artist Statement

I find peace and harmony just the contemplation of the flowers’ beauty . But at the same time I use floral images to express various feelings. Flowers act like a metaphor in my paintings.
Roses in the night - tenderness opposed to sadness. There should be a certain balance between "too gentle" and "too rough". Sharp silhouettes framing the main flower are combined with the softness of a central bud.
