Ivo Alvarone is a color painter. His paintings are full of intense, juicy colors. The artist plays with their combinations and the variety of forms. It contrasts and weaves them into charming and unpretentiously intense, unique ranges. He doesn't use the color directly. It suggests, allows for interpretation, for free reception. This is due to the vision of nature. Because nature is very rich and discolored. In the series of landscape drawings EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPES, Alvarone translated his approach to color into drawing. The artist urges us to open the gates to the imagination, to translate the image into a sensual world of colors.
EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPES is a perverse look at the world of nature, which we consider beautifully rich. We perceive it as a general beauty, but we pay little attention to detail. The flowers and plants in the world of Alvarone do not reproduce the natural world, but create new species. This multiplication of natural beings is purposeful in Ivo Alvarone. The artist wants to draw our attention to details. We usually look superficially, we don't study, we don't admire the forms of single plants. We see a bouquet of flowers, but we do not know the shape of a single petal. We are moved by landscapes, but we do not see that they are made up of thousands of plants - trees and shrubs. We generalize our view, while each plant is a microcosm of beauty. In his drawings of landscapes, Alvarone urges us to stop and admire a single head of grass, a fanciful shape of a flower petal, thousands of shades of green trees.
Ivo Alvarone consciously gave this series of EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPES a dreamlike character. A dream dream. A hate that resembles the gardens we know, but we know only superficially, superficially. The artist urges us to patiently study nature.
