Jae Hyun Kim is a photographer from Suwon, South Korea who presently resides in Chicago, IL. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in photography at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2018. He is a recipient of the Honors Scholarship in his years at SAIC. His photographic work has been exhibited both in the Chicago and South Korea, most recently at Sullivan Gallery. He describes his work as "alluding human presence without including any actual figures." He is interested in formal relationship between conscience and unconsciousness, exploration and concealment, leaving the viewer and himself questioning the legitimacy of the image and the futility of the photograph.
