I pursued the sense of “existence” and nothing else. I use the three primary colors (red/yellow/blue) as the basis of my color composition, which is a part of my efforts to maximize the sensation of senses, and although my paintings seem to conjure the characteristics of modernism in that they pursue RYB color scheme and strong power, they in fact only summon Goethe through his 『Theory of Colours』, and instead of pursuing a single kind of formal purity, I mix and confound all necessary formal elements yet finding order and harmony within them, striving for a state where long and short lines, wide and narrow planes, fast and slow speeds, directions, forward/backward, height, high/low brightness, and saturation, color contrast and juxtaposition and such, erupt explosively in unison, and established the surface of my paintings by repeating the actions of scraping, dripping, wiping, pushing, pulling, throwing, brushing, and weaving, breaking, emptying, setting aside, erasing, layering, etc.

Lives and Works: Seoul
Jaeyeol Han, who was dispatched to Haiti in 2010 when the massive earthquake hit, has found existing but forgotten objects, pay attention to them, and has a keen sense of the Other who cannot be said.
He uses individuals and clusters as a medium to deal with differences, disagreements, conflicts, and issues of power and he carried out Passersby project to organize paintings with the attitude of portraits before photography, based on the post-construction process of objects with collision and harmony.
