Artist Statement
This painting is another in my series 'Borderlands', which has been inspired by the hills, valleys and mists of the landscape between England and Wales where I make my home. The name 'Caradoc' has its roots in the ancient celtic tradition of Wales, and one of the well known hills here in the welsh borders is named 'Caer Caradoc.
This painting uses professional artist quality acrylics, mainly muted tones of burnt umber, sienna, blue- violet, cobalt, pthalo green, Paynes grey and white, and is varnished. It has deep edges which are painted white.
The painting is initialled in the lower right front and is labelled/signed in full on the reverse. It is unframed and has picture hooks and cord on the back so is ready to hang.
It will be carefully packaged and shipped with a reputable carrier: a signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included.
