Artist statement
I usually choose a set of limitations and work on a series of variations. I have used ink, acrylic, and collaged mulberry paper for this piece, continuing with many variations of a grid of circles. I look for a sense of spaciousness, energetic stillness, radiance, balance, luminosity, liveliness, presence.
