Artist Statement
In my works I experiment with materials and new techniques. At the moment, I am focused on working with disposed paper which I recycle myself. In the process, I model it onto a wooden base, creating a rich, resilient, three-dimensional structure as the basis of my artistic expression. I am constantly exploring the possibilities in reshaping material, which makes up the conceptual side of my work as I strive to find my own expression. This painting is part of cycle Metamorphosis of nature, I argue and explore the (co)existence between human beings and nature, as well as different aspects of the nature – its metamorphosis, regeneration and adaptability – in response to the constant exploitation and destruction of precious natural resources.
