Artist Statement
Convolvulus is a vine plant with circular white flowers... or a curtain that separates us from a more REAL reality.
The author plays in this work with an imaginary curtain that reveals a suggestive and unknown world. It is an invitation to enter to that world, the imagination, the preconsciousness of things that exist but we only intuit them.
Acrylic on wood, varnished for protection, framed, directly ready to hang.
Very decorative. The measures with the frame included are 125x105x2 cms.

Javier Santana is a Spanish artist whose paintings have been exhibited in solo and group events nationally. His work flows into two directions. One of which Santana refers to as his "Emotional Landscapes", through which he relates abstract themes through vibrant colors. The other vein of compositions blends abstract with street art, where his graffiti "speaks". It is his intention that these pieces invite awareness and a better world, or simply explain how he feels.
