Artist Statement

This oil painting was painted with brushes and pallet knife from watrercolors made in-situ in winter. It shows the top part of the village of Saint-Gély , not far from Montpellier in the south of France. This work was awarded the Fine Art Society Prize in the international Béziers Art Show. It is ready to hang.

Born in 1952, Jean-Noël Le Junter studied in Clermont-Ferrand (master of Arts / Fine Arts classes). Then, he spent a year in Scotland where he continued his learning process at Glasgow University Arts Club (where he met his wife). He has lived and worked in the Montpellier area since 1992. …
