Artist Statement
" The Quickening" is part of the Alchemy abstract collection originated by artist Jeanette Innala.
Jeanette Innala originated her own unique technique of fusioning rich jewel toned color palettes with layers of mixed media.
"My art is about energizing and lifting people by engaging them with the power of colour. Creating movement and connection by combining colour to enrich the experience for the viewer. That’s why vibrant colour is so dominant in my art. They underline colour as an agent of powerful communication as well as being a universal language since beginning of time."
The serie Alchemy artworks are ink, mixed media and resin on paper mounted on a birchwood panel.

Artist Profile
Born: 1968
Hometown: Skellefteå
Based in: Helsingborg, Sweden
Vibrant, otherworldly and radiating, Innala´s work seeks to explore the deep resonating spectra of colour and abstract movement. Internationally established with works in public and private collections worldwide.
Working many times with the unpredictable and chance as an essential element in the creative process Innala extracts energetic powers. Her unique expression is built up by veils of colours in many layers of a mix of traditional painting with ink, mixed media and digital techniques so that her paintings look both forward and backwards technically. A unique method that creates her own signature and colour language. Her work radiates a certain extra otherworldly power. Her immersive art invites the viewer to feel its meditative and energetic qualities.
Experimenting and testing until she feels the colour and movement that she is looking for. The shift between colour, light and darkness provides excitement, contrast and depth. There are no guidelines or assumed forms, just the flow of the process that leads her forward.
During 2021 Deji Art Museum aquired 30 of Jeanette Innalas work as a part of the museums collection and offering her a solo exhibition of the collection during 2022.
Since her childhood, she experimented with paint, woodwork and metal artworks. Jeanette is a self-taught artist who turned her passion into her career. Jeanette currently has her studio outside Helsingborg, Sweden.
