Artist Statement
"Sicilia" is an ode to the sky over Marettimo, a tiny island off the western coast of Sicily. The artists is enamored with the Mediterranean sky, telling the story of dawn over the sea in this dramatic, warm, poetic painting. It is one of her most enthralling Ascension paintings, bearer of its own light. The painting is cradled in a simple natural wood floater frame, making the framed dimensions 84 x 84 x 4 cm.
