Artist Statement
'Marcescence, a boundless moment' describes the state of endless existence in nature. Inspired by Robert Frost's 'A Boundless Moment', this series explores the inevitable cyclical nature of life and its continual flow and transition between life and death.The seamless connections between growth and decay sets in motion meditation of our own existence.

Jennifer Ng is a Singaporean artist based in the UK. Jennifer graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1995 and have been a practicing artist since. Jennifer is also an art educator with a Masters in Art Education obtained from the National Institute of Education and has been teaching art for over twenty years. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Pratice-based research at the Birmingham City University in the UK.
Her art practice traverses multiple disciplines in her attempt to explore ideas and meanings lying within their interstices. Her works span across painting, sculptures, installation, participatory and performance art as she engages embodied experience with materials and space. She is currently working with the medium of Chinese ink and watercolour to explore the phenomenological interaction with objects, specifically their tangible, intangible associations and narrative potentiality.
