Florilegia series is a work in which I wanted to observe the ways of behaving and the indefinable emotions of human and express them through the personified flowers. I draw various species of flowers through my imagination in this series, and to deliver them convincingly as if they exist in reality, I borrowed the form of Florilegia— commonly designates the work collection of the traditional botanical illustrations that revealed in the 15th century and saw its great revival in the 17th century—and expressed them. I have always been interested in botanical illustrations. So, I got to use pen and black ink as the main material of my works, and naturally have come to study the stroke, which is also the feature of etching and botanical illustrations
