Artist Statement
During my walks on the beach I often found withered flowers, mostly roses, sometimes amarylis or other flowers; sometimes single petals or whole bouquets. It wasn't until a friend told me about a burial at sea that I realized that these flowers are last greetings to the deceased. I took the withered flowers and the algae that surrounded them home and photographed them in extremly high resolution with my scanner (scanography).
I offer the photos as fineart prints on photorag 230 g / m² in the format 50 x 50 cm (limited and signed edition of 20 ex.). Larger formats on request.
