Artist Statement
In my work, I am trying to translate a feeling of time, its passing and the brevity of a moment onto canvas. I have always been fascinated by painting hands as they represent such vulnerable beautiful gestures - the ability to touch, to hold on/letting go, to be gentle but also harsh and while being able to provoke a variety of feelings, they are always , as humans itself, unable to stop time. The present moment is all that matters.
