Julia Hacker created this original stunning artwork in the style called Fauvism. Artist used intense color to describe light and space and to communicate feline powers. Julia Hacker painted a wild animal, the goddess of the Jungle surrounded by green lush tropical plants. The orange and yellow colors of the panter's skin are jewel-like on the background of emerald green leaves. The sensual, inviting look in the eyes of the wild cat calls the viewer to follow the mysterious creature. Fauvism is the style of Les Fauves (French for "the wild beasts"), a group of early twentieth-century modern artists whose works emphasized painterly qualities and strong color over the representational or realistic values retained by Impressionism.
Please note: due to its size, this piece will ship from the artist's studio in Canada unstretched and rolled in a tube.
