Artist Statement

"Life itself is tension."

The track left by a bicycle is a straight line, but it is a straight line made by a round wheel. The straight line can therefore be considered a part of an endless circle.

Differences between people, religion and race, create small arguments that expand into large wars. If the finite concept of life could be seen from the perspective of infinite time and space, everything would be considered the same. I wanted to express the tension created by differences as ‘peace’ made up of the interaction between straight lines and circles in a positive way.
