Artist Statement
Everyday life is a series of tensions.
The track that the bicycle has passed is a straight line, but the straight line is made by a round wheel.
The straight line can also be considered a part of an infinite circle.
The present 'me' is a form of the past 'me’ piled up one after another. A 'visible line' exists thanks to
an 'invisible line'. They always exist together.
Differences between people, religion and race sometimes expand small arguments into immense and
needless wars. I want to express the tension that comes from the differences as 'peace' and 'balance'
through the harmony of a straight line and a circle line.

Artist Statement:
“Life itself is continuation of tensions.
The track left by a bicycle is a straight line but it is a straight line made by a round wheel. The straight line can be considered as a part of an endless circle.
Differences between people, religion and race, create small arguments that expand into large wars. If the finite concept of life could be seen from the perspective of infinite time and space, it may be considered all the same. I wanted to express the tension created by differences as a ‘peace’ made up of the interaction between the straight lines and circles in the positive way.”
