Artist Statement
As a colorist and jazz musician, I love to push color and combine it with textures and patterns to create flow, rhythm and movement in my paintings. I think this piece really shows how jazz improvisation and abstract art potentiate one another.

Her works have been exhibited in numerous international exhibitions to include the Pastel Society of America’s Enduring Brilliance Exhibition, the International Society of Pastel Artists 2018 Webshow and has won awards in Pastel Journal’s Annual Pastel 100 Competition. Her influences include Willem de Kooning, Claude Monet and J.M.W. Turner.
