Karen Yu Xinxuan (b. 1998, Singapore), is currently pursuing in Diploma Fine Arts majoring in Painting at LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore. She is expected to graduated in August 2019. She has exhibited at The LASALLE Show (2019), Brother Joseph McNally Gallery (2018), and LASALLE Open House (2016).
Her art direction focuses on the ambience delivered through her works. When conceiving a piece, she draws inspiration from different natural landscapes. Within each artwork, she sees potential of revealing ounces of atmosphere through hues and forms. A piece is considered finished when it has the ability to deliver a sense of mood. She’d like the viewers to be able to vision themselves within her paintings and create their individual ambience revolving around the plethora of colours and brush strokes.
