Artist Statement

ROCKS IN THE CLOUDS is a water series by Karim Carella. The rocks emerge from a large white space.
They look like black stars in a white sky, in a world that wants to play with colors, overturning reality, transforming it into something different and new.
In truth, these black stars are stones emerging from a placid fog, unchanging in its calmness.
Karim Carella's photography, therefore, aims to propose a new interpretation of a natural landscape, a vision that interprets the world by increasing its most intimate and silent aspect.
"Rocks in the clous (studio 18)" is one of the artwork from "Rocks in the clouds" project.
Photo printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art cotton paper “Bright White” 310 gsm with Epson Carbon Inkjet print (Giclée print)
Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Bright White is a bright white cotton art paper with an inkjet coating specially tailored for FineArt printing. The lightly defined felt structure and characteristic soft Photo Rag® feel gives every FineArt print an incredible depth and three-dimensional appearance. Combined with the matt premium inkjet coating, this produces impressive FineArt prints boasting vivid colours, deep blacks and extraordinary reproduction of detail. The bright white of the paper also creates particularly brilliant results for high contrast images. The acid- and lignin-free Photo Rag® Bright White meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is perfect for reproducing FineArt photographs and works of art.
