Artist Statement
A work of my abstract line. I do nature paintings, kind of half-abstract and also non-objective works like this one.
Because of its colours of black and red (and of course white too) I call it "Lipstick and Mascara".
The actual painting is 20 x 20 cm / 7.9 x 7.9 in. I sell it with a mat. With the mat the work is 30 x 30 x 2,5 cm / 11.8 x 11.8 x 0.98 in.
Please note the mat is white, unfortunately it comes across with a slight bluish tint. I apologize for that.
The frame in the "in situ" photograph is just an example. It is not included in the price.
Signed on the back. Varnished with a professional matt spray varnish with UV protection.

Artist Profile

Karin Goeppert is a German artist. She sees that life is a largely subjective experience acting as a bridge to the objective world, and it’s this synthesis of the two that she is trying to capture.
The self-taught artist took classes over the years at the Art Academy of Bad Reichenhall. She loves experimenting and want to give her works an individual expression. On one hand, she loves painting almost realistic, somewhat utopian, nature images; and on the other hand, she enjoys doing non-objective/abstract art. She is inspired by the beauty and power of natural phenomena, the mystery of nature, its colours and forms. Every painting is a one-of-a-kind work in which she tries to combine feeling and thought. She works most of the time with acrylics but she also mixes acrylics with other media such as oil pastel, soft pastel, spray paint, graphite and charcoal or ink.
