About the art
Artist statement
The artwork was created on 26 January 2022, 29 days before Russia invaded Ukraine. In January we hoped war is impossible in 21 century. We felt anxious but planned our future. Today I look at this painting and smile bitterly.
The inscription "Future" I created in a "clock" style, like a timer that will expire soon. The bird's face is also with "waiting" emotion, she doesn't know what to do.
The artwork is created with watercolors, I used lots of layers to create feathers and only one layer for the word and background.
