Kayalvizhi is an Indian contemporary and abstract artist. When the world looked to the west to enrich their lives, she travelled to her roots to understand the richness of the traditions and the preservation of the cultural inheritance in the villages of India. Kayalvizhi has experimented with various styles and multiple techniques, particularly with the usage of materials; Palate Knives, broken or waste objects like combs, forks, sponges and so on. Her collections are catalogued depictions of peace, purity and serenity of Indian villages engulfed in exotic greenery. The realness of every village and its originality is depicted with minute detailing in her works.
Her latest series of abstract landscapes have been very popular in various exhibitions and art shows and found homes in India and internationally with prominent art collectors.
