Artist Statement
Geometric 2021 - 124c5 is an abstraction of a kaleidoscopic image. The main image (2021 - 124) has several versions, each limited to 3 prints per version. In this version (2021 - 124c5), I have brought the background to black, and I have made the outlines of the elements a dull rose or coral color suggestive subliminally of flesh, so that one would perhaps think of this as living cells - either as a connected array of cells as in skin, or as a group of individual cells floating in something perhaps like the blood stream. None of the other versions gives the impression of living cells in any way - this is the sole version that does so.
