Artist statement
Geometric 2021 - 225a7b3 is an abstraction of kaleidoscopic image. There are quite a few versions of the main image (2021 - 225), limited to 3 prints of each version. In this version (2021 - 225a7b3), I have just chosen a small subset of elements of the whole original array, and I have altered the triangular elements with a haze of whites and grays surrounding them - reminiscent to me of lion's mane, and the image takes on an animalistic aura - either to be interpreted as actual animal heads, or as I prefer, as symbolic spirit animal heads that might appear on a warrior's ceremonial or battle shield.
