Artist statement
Oculus 233g11 is an abstraction of part of the Oculus Structure at Ground Zero in NYC, which was also casting shadows on the interior, seen through the windows from the inside, while the glass was also reflecting the interior of the structure at the same time.There are several versions of the main image (Oculus 233), each limited tp 3 prints for each version. In this version (g11), I have eliminated the blacks from the shadow areas substituting a plum color, and reducing the saturation of the rest of the image to pale gray and white tones to create a very muted version of this image
