Artist statement
Prost, Mondrian! 21c9 is a pixilated abstraction of a tiny part of another image (Central Park Pond 4a) which I see as an homage to Mondrian, reminiscent, to me at least, of his very famous Broadway Boogie Woogie. In this version, 21c9, of the main image (Prost, Mondrian! 21) it is reminiscent too of twilight in the mountains in winter, looking down from a ski slope onto a village twinkling below as the lights come on in the houses
