Artist Statement

IconCaretDown

Bold, bright, and positive energy artwork in blue and white is a striking statement piece in any room. This abstract and minimalist artwork is about inter-relationship and connection with a focus on calm and zen energy that is energizing and uplifting to the soul. Goes great as a pairing with other works in this series to suit your color and design preferences. Blue, white, cobalt blue, abstract, minimalism, mid century, modern.

A love poem accompanies this piece, written by the artist, and represents an exploration of the inter-relationship between the shapes on the canvas and the story that may be unfolding. The poem comes printed and framed. I also do custom commissions of both artworks and poems.

Moon shadows
Shimmer like stars
In brilliant twilight
Twinkling within your eyes
Bouncing off my heart
As I gaze across
The wide blue sea
That separates you and me

Dimensions 30 x 40 inches unframed, with frame 31 x 41 framed. Framed in a custom made, natural wood frame in minimalist elegant design. It sets the piece off without taking away from the vibrant pop and visual aesthetics of the artwork.

Artist Profile

Hometown: Encinitas, CA

Based in: Encinitas, CA

Kerry is an abstract painter who explores the themes of love and connection through the interplay of form and space in her signature collection Metaphorical Relationships. These works are zen-like white organic forms within rich and bold colorfields. They bring positive energy and peacefulness to any space. These paintings are accompanied with love poems that expand on the work’s interpretation.

Kerry also creates avant-garde large-scale works exploring reclaiming the male gaze through the eyes of a feminist painter.

Kerry holds a Master of Arts from California State University, Sacramento. Her works adorn homes and businesses throughout the United States and Europe. She owns a gallery and artist studio in Solana Beach, CA.
