Artist Statement
I still see your shadows in my room
Can't take back the love that I gave you
It's to the point where I love and I hate you
And I cannot change you so I must replace you
Easier said than done
I thought you were the one
Listening to my heart instead of my head
You found another one, but
I am the better one
I won't let you forget me
I still see your shadows in my room
Can't take back the love that I gave you
It's to the point where I love and I hate you
And I cannot change you so I must replace you

Artist Profile
Born: 1974
Hometown: Sai Kung
Based in: Hong Kong
Kos was born in Sri Lanka into an artistic family and began drawing and painting at an early age. After school, his playground was his father's agency workshop, where he studied and practised brush skills in the golden age of hand-drawn advertising. In 1999, he moved to Hong Kong, where he has worked in a creative capacity in the film, advertising, and digital advertising industries.
Kos paints in loud and dominant styles, cheap brushes used to apply dripping oils in crude fast brush strokes, experimental combinations of acrylics and charcoal, tropical colour pallets carried to the extreme. From the inspiration he draws on to his choice of subject matter and the materials he uses, Kos's work is a celebration of diversity in every sense.
