About the art
Artist statement
This landscape is inspired by the beautiful islands and reefs where the sea washes and the waves break. I remember how it felt when I was a young girl was out with friends in a small boat and how we were afraid of getting too close to these places. They drag you in, they are dangerous and exciting but the undercurrents and riptides are strong and unpredictable but so beautiful and alluring.
This is a fresh turquoise mood, its difficult to do the colour justice in a photo, it changes quite a bit depending on the light but I have tried to capture the mood correctly.
