The performance consists of a series of images stored as documents; when the live performance view ends and the intuitive feeling stops.
I am interested in further expanding and deepening of Expressive Performance.
I select different image files from my documents and create Post Cards into large paintings by reversing my performance acts and re- creating the re-played this performance.
Repainting images from my past documents makes each performance act slow down (slowmotion), then stop completely; independent upon time and space.
The Work is separated from the historical context to create its own independence. It also makes the Performing Artist embedded completely in the performance and transform him/herself, which creates many layers for a past Performance.
Then what is left?
Historical nature is refreshed. Freed from the Post Card, a series of animated images continuously reverses the positions on a flat surface.
Another Performance is ongoing so viewers can look into details thoroughly and every detail can be meticulously touched.
"Reversing a Performance" is very difficult. At the same time, many impacts around the world have made the Performing Artists become harder.
Performance is a Declaration of Independence derived from many other Statements related to social changes.
A Post Card of Performance Art brings about new perspectives such as moving across different cultures when Tourism is under lockdown during this Sars-covid time. Sending Postcards is the way to bring peace, a metaphor of shared statement bringing the non-stop expansion.

Based in: Hanoi
Lai Dieu Ha (b.1976) has been obsessed with the hydra olygactics and its 'white' since she was a little girl. Making art to her is a way of multiplying the growth of microorganism , a tiny world that man has little attention of. However, this tiny world seems to be the start of every living thing. Ha has been drawn to its white freedom, its asexual, openness to imagination and depth.
