Artist statement
Sweet Things by Lana Alsamir-Diamond - constantly dreaming of faraway places, the restraint needed to create the artist's more minimal works sometimes gently gives way to equally minimal but more figurative works, the Architecture, Colours and memories of star gazing under towering mediterranean palm trees, are a constant in her works.
Alsamir-Diamond's love of the moon in it's many faces is apparent in her work, they are a recurring motif, it has a constant presence in her work, the artist feels that it offers my landscapes a familiarity and a warmth to her work.
Original artwork: Acrylic, Gouache and Ink on hand made cotton paper, with deckled edges in natural colour.
Colours Blue, Indigo, Green and Pink.
