"Medusa" belongs to the Fragments Series, they are small lost fragments, they are links and outcomes, encounters and abstractions of metallic materials such as gold, silver, nickel or steel that seduce the modern world. It is an intriguing work because Porcelli does not question its meaning but its power and the beauty of the "Medusa" to attract, our thoughts are fragments of ideas that to go out into the world have to be attractive and brilliant, Medusa seduces like us in a world where ostracism is condemned and only those who go out into the world are worth it, they mix, intertwine and meet seducing.

Based in: São Paulo

Laura Porcelli is best known for her abstract acrylic paintings that use color, texture and layers to explore the themes of movement and light in nature. Born and raised in Argentina, Porcelli draws inspiration from her Latin American roots. Her works are vivid, powerful and dynamic.
Porcelli has exhibited worldwide, at venues such as the Belgo Gallery in Montreal, Centro de Convenciones in Buenos Aires, Paulo Prado Gallery in Sao Paulo and Agora Gallery in New York. Porcelli’s works are held in private and institutional collections worldwide.
Porcelli studied art at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredon (currently, Universidad Nacional de las Artes) and Facultad de Artes Plasticas in Rosario. Porcelli was awarded the Prix Estimulo in Buenos Aires and was silver medalist at the Vanguardia Brasileira de Artes Plasticas.

She lives and works in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
