Artist Statement
Inspired by Rodin's three shadows, Corpus is the living body. Intentionally the back is anatomically deformed. This back, which no one can see for oneself, is our backbone, the one that reacts as soon as our soul is mistreated, stressed, but also playful. He is our backbone.

Laure Polin is a French sculptor who has exhibited her work internationally. Using a variety of materials including plaster, slate, and bronze, She slowly carves away at her material until a shape or figure reveals itself. Her works are abstract and figurative pieces that are both graceful and commanding.
The sculpture leads her into research territories where she will find the path that will materialize this flow that goes through her by modeling the material.
