In the apparent void, created by the tumult that surrounds him, created by the tumult that inhabits him, is the individual.
The arena is the circus where our inner struggles are played out until letting go, until deliverance.
Its meaning resides both in the expressed form which occupies the space, but also in the void created by the form. The human being is defined by what he is, that is to say in relation to those who surround him, but also with WHAT surrounds him.
This sculpture is a reduction of the sculpture called the ARENA. It was reduced thanks to the digital scanning technique, from which a resin model was drawn and then reworked by the artist.

Laure Polin is a French sculptor who has exhibited her work internationally. Using a variety of materials including plaster, slate, and bronze, She slowly carves away at her material until a shape or figure reveals itself. Her works are abstract and figurative pieces that are both graceful and commanding.
The sculpture leads her into research territories where she will find the path that will materialize this flow that goes through her by modeling the material.
