The painting DREAMS COULD MAKE GODS WORK FOR YOU is a TRIPTYCH inspired by the healing process through dreams and dreaming.
In Ancient Greece, references for the treatments of various illnesses by the God of medicine Asclepius through the symbolism of dreams were widely well known.
Asclepius used to cure his patients in his temples through a series of rituals for body and soul. Patients had to drink water from fountains near his temples, sink into relaxing baths and follow specific ways of relaxation to reach a feeling of deep peace, calm and sleep. Through the symbols of their dreams, Asclepius was able to give them the right treatment and make them healthy again.
This painting is a triptych. Each piece is 50 x 50cm.
