Artist Statement
This painting speaks about the place of the man in the whole, in the world, in the nature. It is a question here of losing oneself in a vegetable paradise to better find oneself. The painting was made with acrylic on canvas, and was inspired by an artist's walk in the Botanical Garden of Bayonne in France. This garden is inspired by Japanese gardens which are a symbolic representation of the world, the human soul and the impermanence of nature. This work is inspired by impressionist and expressionist styles, with touches and strokes.
The work was exhibited for the artist's solo show at the Atelier des Peintres du Marais in 2020 in Paris, as well as during the Jeux de Dames in Fontainebleau in 2021.
The work is varnished, ready to hang, delivered with its certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

His works, which navigate between figuration and abstraction, are imbued with raw vitality and beauty; vitality of the touch, of the color, powdering of the material...
She builds a poetic and intuitive visual universe, which speaks to our feelings and our emotions before our intellect.
Elle invites the viewer to open all their senses and projects them into 'little paradises' where time slows down.
