Artist Statement
Rhythm of the tropics
Singapore is the city in the garden, the most amazing thing for me is the ubiquitous tropical plants tightly surround my daily life.
As a Nature lover,I very touched and fascinated by tropical plants. I am committed to finding a unique language to express my feelings.
I especially want to express the strength and momentum that come from tropical plants.
My works emphasis on the:
rhythm of tropical plants,
The gesture that the plants shows.
Seeking of expressing the vitality of plants.
I use contrasting colors (typical colors of tropical plants).

I Was a Art editor at Foreign Languages Press under the Ministry of Culture, China.
I have created 2 series of painting: the folk culture series (oil painting) and the ancient ladies series (oil painting) .
After I came to Singapore, I was very touched and fascinated by tropical plants, I believe that I should be looking for a new language, a unique language really belong in tropical , belong to my daily living environment.
When I gave up my old visual language, as an artist, I was dumb. In a very long Journey, I seeking a language more pure, more free to express my feelings. I never regret, because I really very love nature, love tropical greenery. Now I am happy that I found my new language, established my unique style and system.
