Artist Statement
Life is like the grains of sand on the beach, some are large and some are small, there is a mixture of wood scraps and other objects. The beach always receives and accepts everything. The glass on the beach in the painting is a manifestation of life. Some live based on love, some live based on hope, and some follow the instincts of life itself. How life can continue to survive so that the 'waves' are not eroded is a natural process. It is better to have these three aspects in balance.

Ihsan is an Indonesian natural-realism Painter. He has an architecture background and had been working in the forests of Riau, Indonesia. He deeply believes that forests are the lungs of the planet and our strongest defense against climate change. Human destruction of the forests immensely affected him. Consequently, ‘Wood’ became the central theme of his works enhanced by the sharp perspectives and 3D concepts imbued from his architecture days. All his artworks are thought provoking with allusions to nature and promises to create a contemplative corner in your homes.
